Terms of Service

By using tempx.uk and the mail domains tempx.uk, a8bt.win, t.rdsql.com, t.newkitapp.com, t.createinvoice.app, t.jsonforge.app and t.jsonforge.app (“Tempx”, “the service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What the service is

Tempx provides free, temporary, receive-only email addresses in two forms: named public inboxes (you choose the name; messages are kept for up to 7 days) and private random inboxes (an unguessable address; messages are kept for 1 hour). All mail domains operated by the service (currently tempx.uk, a8bt.win, t.rdsql.com, t.newkitapp.com, t.createinvoice.app, t.jsonforge.app) are aliases of the same mailbox: the part before the @ identifies the inbox. An optional Google sign-in exists only to keep private inboxes across devices, and optional scoped MCP connections let an AI agent read a single inbox on your behalf (any agent "sending" is captured for testing only, never delivered). There is no charge. To fund the service, advertising may be shown; it is clearly separated from inbox content and never targeted using your messages, senders or subjects, see the Privacy Policy.

2. Best-effort, no warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that mail will be delivered, that the service will be available at any given time, that messages will be retained for any minimum period, or that the service will continue to exist. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice, including adding or removing mail domains.

3. Acceptable use

First, what the service is: Tempx gives you an email address, receives mail at it, and shows you that mail. You can choose or generate an address, keep inboxes in an optional account, capture your own application's outgoing mail on the SMTP gateway for testing, and let a scoped MCP agent read a single inbox. Tempx cannot send mail to the outside world. Every rule below is about those surfaces.

You agree that you will not use Tempx, its addresses, inboxes, mail domains, SMTP gateway or MCP connections, to:

• break any applicable law or regulation;
• receive, store or distribute material that is unlawful, or that you are not authorised to access, whether it arrives as inbound mail, as an attachment, or as mail captured on the SMTP gateway;
• bring into the service any material involving the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of minors, this is illegal everywhere, and we report it to law enforcement without warning;
• use an address to sign up for, request or receive pornography or other sexually explicit material, including anything depicting sexual violence or non-consensual sexual acts, and remember that whatever sits in a named inbox is publicly viewable (section 4);
• use an address to create or maintain accounts for gambling or betting services where doing so is unlicensed or unlawful in the relevant jurisdiction, whether as a player, agent or operator;
• distribute malware, ransomware or phishing content, or use the service to prepare or stage fraud, scams or deception aimed at real people, the SMTP gateway exists to capture your own application's test mail, not to rehearse attacks;
• threaten, stalk or harass any person, or incite violence or hatred against any person or group;
• impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation;
• publish or distribute another person's private information without their consent (doxxing), or trade in stolen credentials or personal data;
• use inboxes to receive or distribute material that infringes intellectual property rights;
• exchange mail that facilitates human trafficking or exploitation, or the sale of drugs, weapons, counterfeit documents or counterfeit goods;
• facilitate spam or other bulk messaging (note that Tempx cannot send mail);
• evade a suspension, ban or block imposed by another service;
• create accounts in bulk in violation of another service's terms;
• use the service for two-factor authentication, account recovery or other security-critical mail for accounts that are not themselves disposable;
• open, harvest or enumerate inboxes belonging to other people, public inboxes are technically open, but reading or deleting other people's mail without their consent is a misuse of the service and may be unlawful;
• circumvent the service's rate limits or abuse protections, or attempt to disrupt its infrastructure;
• misuse any mail domain operated by the service (tempx.uk, a8bt.win, t.rdsql.com, t.newkitapp.com, t.createinvoice.app, t.jsonforge.app) for criminal activity, fraud, deception, or any act intended to harm or take advantage of any person or organisation.

Two notes on how this list works in practice. First, because named inboxes are publicly readable, prohibited material in a named inbox is also exposed to anyone who types the same name, an inbox being temporary does not make its content acceptable. Second, enforcement: we remove prohibited material when we become aware of it, we may block the addresses and networks involved (see section 7), and we report suspected criminal activity, in particular anything involving minors, to the relevant authorities. Because messages delete themselves fast, the absence of a message by the time we look is not evidence of anything; abuse reports should reach us while the material is still live.

If you connect an AI agent through MCP, you are responsible for what that agent does. Agent connections are scoped to one inbox and revocable; sending, where granted, is capture-only for testing. Using them to access inboxes you are not entitled to is prohibited.

4. Public inboxes have no privacy

A named inbox can be opened, read and cleared by anyone who knows its name, on any service domain. Treat everything sent to a named inbox as public. Do not use named inboxes for sensitive mail; use a private random inbox instead. See the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Accounts and tokens

The optional account (Google sign-in) and any MCP tokens exist to make your own inboxes reachable. Keep tokens secret; they are shown once and we store only a hash. You are responsible for revoking tokens you no longer need, via the account page.

6. Availability of messages

Messages may be deleted at any time, including before the stated retention period, for operational or abuse-prevention reasons, or by any user who opens a public inbox. We are not responsible for any loss resulting from a message being unavailable or deleted.

7. Rate limits and enforcement

We apply rate limits and automated abuse detection. We may block requests, addresses or networks that appear to be abusing the service, at our discretion.

8. Responsibility for how addresses are used, and limitation of liability

You are solely responsible for how you use the addresses and domains the service provides. The mail domains (tempx.uk, a8bt.win, t.rdsql.com, t.newkitapp.com, t.createinvoice.app, t.jsonforge.app) are offered as a convenience for receiving and testing email; they must not be used for criminal acts, harassment, fraud, or anything that harms or disadvantages any party. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tempx and the individuals who operate it are not responsible for, and are released and held harmless from, any claim, demand, loss or legal action arising from how you or anyone else uses these domains, you agree to indemnify Tempx against such claims where your use caused them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tempx and the individuals who operate it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always at this URL with the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence applies instead.
