What is Tempx?

Tempx is a free temporary email service. It gives you a real, working email address that you use for a short time and then discard — ideal for confirmation links, verification codes and testing, without giving out your personal address.

The address is fully functional: messages arrive within a few seconds. When you are finished, close the tab — everything is removed automatically.

How it works

Three steps, no account:

  1. Get an address. Pick any name for your inbox — or use a private random address instead. It works the moment you choose it; see it at the top of this page.
  2. Use it. Paste the address into a form, or send a message to it from another account. Email arrives in your Tempx inbox.
  3. Read and move on. Open the message you need. Everything is removed automatically after the retention period, or delete it yourself.

What to know before you use it

Temporary email is short-lived and not confidential. Do not use a Tempx address for anything important or sensitive.

  • Tempx is receive-only — you cannot send email or reply.
  • Messages are permanently deleted after the retention period shown in the app (7 days for a named inbox, 1 hour for a random one). Deleted mail cannot be recovered.
  • Do not use it for banking, government, work or school accounts, or for password recovery / two-factor codes you may need later.
  • Email is not private in transit — and a named inbox is readable by anyone who knows its name. Treat anything sent to a temporary address as potentially readable by someone else.

Is Tempx free?
Yes. Tempx is free to use and needs no account.
How long do messages last?
Messages in a named inbox are kept for 7 days; in a random private inbox, 1 hour. The current retention period is always shown in the app.
Can I pick my own address?
Yes — type any name and open that inbox. It is public: anyone who knows the name can read it. For anything sensitive, use a random private address instead.
Can I send email with Tempx?
No. Tempx only receives email.
